♥ Shimmering Autumn Maple Leaf Crystal Drop Ribbon Necklace ♥
This Pretty necklace features one of my handmade shimmering Maple leaves in a beautiful green colour with tinges of copper a sparkling Preciosa Czech Crystal droplet hangs from a length of bronze chain.
The pendant hangs from two lengths of moss green satin & organza ribbon finished with a bronze ribbon clamp with extender chain.
Would make a lovely addition to a special outfit or as a present to a friend
The necklace is presented in a hand stamped box made of recycled card & filled with green recycled shredded paper with a print out of the Maple leafs meaning curled up in a scroll & tied with ribbon
~ Maple ~ Love ~
The Maple is special for its sweet tasting syrup and represents success & abundance. In China and Japan it is a symbol for lovers and is also linked to the love of welcoming a new child into a home.*
Necklace Length 41cm smallest with 6cm extender chain
The Maple leaf is approx 4.5cm long
The chain & crystal droplet is approx 6.5cm long
The Maple leaf is made by a process of layering up heat bondable plastic film which is composed of more than 90% post industrial waste making it a more eco friendly type of plastic, the film contains no harmful ingredients, no heavy metals, and is formaldehyde free.
The plastic film is very thin and although I use up to 8 layers in each piece please be aware that it still makes for a thin flexible item, I like the effect as it's delicate like a real leaf but it does mean the piece is probably more suited as costume jewellery or to wear with a certain outfit rather than for everyday wear
Please note due to the handmade nature of the item the colour can vary from the photos with some leaves turning out more coppery than others
*Many thanks to Avia Venefica for allowing me use her interpretations of the symbolic meanings of trees, moths & dragonfly's, if you are interested in the symbolic & spiritual meanings of nature her blog is well worth a visit:-
